Art has been an essential part of my life since I was very small – a thread through time, carried into my Bachelor of Fine Arts and, for more than a decade, abandoned. This body of work is a re-becoming—a re-Emergence of my true self in mid-life; a journey back to the feminine creatrix and my identity as a modern Australian woman. It traces my path towards authentic self-expression, as I reclaim womanhood by my own standards. At its core, my recent practice has been an inquiry into connection: to myself, to my artist’s practice, spirit, nature, and community. Emergence honours my transformation into an empowered woman—enduring, intuitive, and unapologetically whole.
