Join East Coast Heritage Rail on Sunday, 11 October 2026 for a special day out as we proudly return to Griffith for the first time in over two decades.

Step aboard our beautifully restored 1930s heritage carriages and settle in for a relaxing journey through the picturesque Riverina countryside. As our vintage train rolls across the fertile plains, enjoy ever-changing rural scenery, friendly onboard hospitality, and the unique atmosphere that only heritage rail travel can provide.

Our destination is the vibrant regional town of Temora, where passengers will have more than two hours to explore and dine at their leisure at one of Temora’s welcoming pubs, clubs, cafés, or restaurants, browse local shops, or simply take time to soak up the town’s rich country charm. The Terminus Hotel is 750 meters from the station, the Temora Hotel 850 metres and the Railway Hotel 1.2km. NB: Lunch is not included in your fare.

Following our lunch stop, rejoin the train for a leisurely afternoon journey back to Griffith. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the nostalgic experience of rail travel as the Riverina landscape unfolds outside your window.

Train departs Griffith at approx 9:30am and returning 4pm

Whether you’re a railway enthusiast, history lover, or simply looking for a memorable day out, the Temora Lunch Train promises a unique and enjoyable heritage rail experience.
