No words. One artwork. Two clowns.
’Tis the grand unveiling ceremony at the Masterpiece gallery and it’s finally time to unveil the latest, most prestigious new artwork. But unfortunately, there’s nothing to unveil. Only two arrows pointing to exactly where the supposed Masterpiece should be hung.
Enter two art handlers, who have a simple task: hang up a piece of art.
But what should be a simple task quickly becomes a hilariously drawn out portrayal of persistence, partnership and friendship.
Masterpiece promises a theatrical experience like no other. The fusion of mime and live music invites a broad spectrum of audiences – of all ages and backgrounds – into a space where connection is made not through words, but through presence. In a world often consumed by haste and noise, Masterpiece offers a rare space for simplicity and shared joy. This is complemented by a playful critique of the art world, the humour of common workplace dynamics, and the ageless allure of slapstick comedy.
Accompanied live by a classical musician.
