Future Dates
The MIA Open is a 105-year-old annual tennis tournament that caters to everyone from beginners to advanced. While the likes of Nick Kyrgios and Sam Groth have taken part in the past, It’s predominately a social tournament for families and casual players.
Popular novelty events include the father-son, mother-daughter and parent-child division doubles, where you get to team up with a family member. There’s also the centenary doubles, where you can partner with anyone whose age adds up to at least 100 when added to yours (for example, if you’re a 40-year-old, your partner must be at least 60).
Everyone is welcome to register but if you don’t want to play you can come down as a spectator and watch some of the best emerging players battle it out against the cream of Griffith. The tournament is usually booked out a month in advance, so keep your eye on the Griffith Tennis Club website early in 2026 and secure your spot as soon as you can to be part of one of Australia’s longest running sporting events.
