ABOUT THE COUTURE COLLECTION:
The Couture Collection comprises 230 gowns that were designed and made by renowned fashion designers, John Claringbold & Ross Weymouth, who spent their final years in Darlington Point after a long career in Melbourne. The Collection represents a combined 90 years of work in the fashion industry, and John & Ross won a record 12 Gown of the Year Awards, as well as many
accolades for their race wear & bridal couture.
The Couture Collection comprises 230 gowns that were designed and made by renowned fashion designers, John Claringbold & Ross Weymouth, who spent their final years in Darlington Point after a long career in Melbourne. The Collection represents a combined 90 years of work in the fashion industry, and John & Ross won a record 12 Gown of the Year Awards, as well as many
accolades for their race wear & bridal couture.
This dinner and fashion parade, featuring key pieces from the Couture Collection, will be the last opportunity to see these exquisite gowns modelled. This fundraising event will contribute to the preservation of the gowns which now form part of the Collections at Griffith Regional Art Gallery.
This event is organised by GRAG Ltd Community Committee, a non-profit organisation made up of interested parties aiming to support the visual arts in Griffith.
